Sixth Grade Trip
Nestled in Capitan, New Mexico, Lone Tree Ranch is home to Sixth Grade for four days and three nights on their outdoor education trip.
The students spend their days immersed in interactive team building activities designed to further develop their teamwork and leadership skills, and they enjoy the challenge of a hike up the Sierra Blanca Trail at Ski Apache in Ruidoso. Each evening includes games and additional team building activities, fellowship around the campfire, and devotionals. Our final day includes a visit to Smokey Bear Historical Park in Capitan with fascinating exhibits about forest health and wildfires, the science of fire ecology, and a historical look at forest fire prevention followed by a stop in the Village of Capitan for lunch and play time at the park on the way home. This trip offers students opportunities to build both skills and relationships that carry into the seventh-grade year.
